Yesterday while working I picked up about ten gardening books. Last night I sat on my bedroom floor with them spread all around me. I started a gardening journal, too. I'm really excited for this project! Today, when I get out of work at 6 pm, we're taking the first steps which are mowing the grass, treating the yard and cleaning the patio. Tomorrow after work, we're going to the nursery to look at what plants and flowers we can plant right now.
I also started a garden Pinterest board! I've been adding things I'd like to buy for my garden and patio. Click here to look at it or follow it! I don't know very many websites to buy outdoor decor and furniture and garden supplies. If you know of any, please do let me know!

your pinterest board is so perfect! i've been wanting to work on my garden for the longest time.... but sadly prioritized other goals instead. i found your post to be really inspiring and motivating!
i'd like to start by learning basic gardening skills and adding small touches to my garden, as of next May (it is a little too late to start now, where i live): plant some flowers in a wooden barrel, get a mason jar lantern, buy a new set of outdoor furniture, get a flowering almond tree (so lovely)...!
