Japanese Scrapbooking

I came across this Japanese scrapbooking book that I fell in love with.
I've been wanting to do a scrapbook of sorts ever since I saw this book at Kinokuniya. It's a great little book with projects and inspiration and ideas.

You can make scrapbooks for all sorts of things. Your cooking adventures, your photo adventures, your hobbies...which is something I had never really thought about. Normally, I associate scrapbooks dedicated to just the special people in your life.

I also realized scrapbooks can be really beautiful pieces of work and not just the types of scrapbooks you think of when you think of them, like old grandmothers and housewives, which are never really beautiful or well designed and are just filled with bad patterns and Spring Break backdrops and things of those sorts. You know what I mean, right?

Now I just need to find places to buy these Japanese scrapbook making supplies. I do have a few things although I think I might have to call on my friend in San Francisco to go to Japantown for me! I'll look on Etsy and Ebay and if I find sellers who sell this sort of things I'll make sure to share with you, too.

Oh, how lovely! I wish I was able to make books like that for my travels, art or baking, and espically now when scrapbooking has become so popular over here! And also, I believe Jollygoo.blogspot.com got some cute paper goods perfect for scrapbooking!

@Linnea Thanks! I haven't been to her blog in forever but I'll take a look. Scrapbooking has become popular? Where are you from?

@Hearttypat Oh don't say that, I'm sure you could!

@Miss Criss Me too! I found some places on Etsy already which I'll share soon. : )

@ Mari
I'm from Sweden, and scrapbooking the way it's done in the photos above really has become quite popular over here :)
